Mumford Defilement Case Accused Sentenced To 10 Years Imprisonment

An accused person in the much-publicized Mumford defilement case, Samuel Armah a.k.a Kofi Nyan has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour by the Cape Coast Circuit Court Two.

The sentencing followed proceedings on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, during which the accused pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement.

He was convicted on his own plea. He pleaded guilty simpliciter.

The presiding judge, after considering the facts of the case and the plea, handed down the sentence to serve as both punishment and a deterrent to others.

End.
