Fire Razes Down Five Bedrooom Apartment At New WinnebaI, Residents Nearly Beat Fire Officers

Fire outbreak in 5 bedroom apartment that belongs to one custom officer has been burnt to ashes at New Winneba in the Effutu Municipality of the central region

According to the report, the fire originated from one room initially before it traveled to the other rooms, destroying properties worth millions of cedis.

Report says, one aged woman was inside the room when the fire started but with the support of the boys around she was rescued and sent to Winneba trauma hospital.

In an interview with Opanyin Darko, some eyewitnesses said, the fire originated from one room and they called the fire service at Winneba but they came with private car and motorcycle instead of fire tender to quench the fire.

The eyewitnesses who helped to quenched the fire nearly clashed with fire officers from Winneba for delaying and also not coming with their car to quench the fire.

They said, it took several hours before firefighters from Buduburam came to help quench the fire but the building was already razed down into ashes.

Meanwhile, the fire service commander for Effutu Municipal, DOII Frederick Adu- Poku has confirming the incident said they had the call from some residents and they gathered themselves to the scene but they are fire tender has broken down so they called Buduburam to come and support them quench the fire since Swedru and Apam fire tender to has broken down.
