Pregnant Women, Sick Carried To Hospital On Motorcycles Due To Poor Roads

Residents of Aboabo in the Bibiani Anhwiaso District of the Western North Region are facing significant challenges due to the poor state of their roads.

The lack of accessible roads has made it difficult for residents, especially pregnant women and the sick, to access medical care.

In some cases, patients are being carried to the hospital on motorcycles.

Speaking in an interview with Sompa FM Bawah Baidoo, The Odikro of Aboabo, Nana Kofi Kobiri II, highlighted the health challenges faced by the community and announced plans to curtail it where he release land for the construction of a chip compound.

However, the chip compound was started but has been abandoned and left to decay, providing a habitat for reptiles and amphibians.

Additionally, the community is struggling with poor network coverage, which is affecting the presence of teachers and other professionals in the area.

Despite having a telecommunications mast, it is not functioning, further exacerbating the community’s challenges.

Nana Kofi Kobiri II is appealing to the government for assistance to address these pressing issues and improve the living conditions of the Aboabo residents.
