Calm Restored After Attempted Attack On Nkwakaw Holy Family Hospital

Calm has been restored at the Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw after an attempted attack on the facility by some irate youth.
The agitated youth, about one hundred, had gone there to demand that a patient on admission, named Quashiga, be released to them so that they could kill him to avenge the death of a popular musician Known as Phada Gaza.
The two is said had been involved in a fight earlier today, injuring each other, which resulted in the musician’s death and the other sustaining life-threatening injuries. Some security officers at the hospital also sustained injuries in the altercation.
Speaking to the media, the hospital administrator, Father Derrick Mawuli, advised the youth against attacking health professionals in such situations.
Meanwhile, the Kwahu West Municipal Health Director, Celestine Asante, confirmed that calm has been restored and revealed that the surviving victim has been transferred to Accra for further care.
