Headmaster Laments Infrastructure Deficit,Calls On Government And Philanthropists For Support

Mr.Joseph Addai, the Head Teacher of SDA Primary School located in Dormaa Akwamu within the Dormaa East District of the Bono Region, has articulated his frustrations regarding the school`s infrastructure deficit, which adversely impacts effective teaching and learning.

He has appealed to the government and philanthropists for assistance in improving the school`s infrastructure to facilitate better educational outcomes.

In an interview,Mr.Addai highlighted that the lower primary and kindergarten sections lack adequate classroom facilities.Additionally, the entire school, from Nursary to Junior High School,is equipped with only two-seater toilets serving all the students and teachers.

The absence of a football playing ground for sporting activities has led to a decline in student enrollment.

Mr.Addai expressed concern that some students are leaving the school while others exhibit little to no interest in enrolling, primary due to the infrastructure shortcomings.

He therefore implores the government, philanthropists, and relevant stakeholders to provide support to enhance the teaching and learning environment at the school.

The assistant Head Teacher,Mr Enock Baaha, expressed thtat they are currently engaging in sporting activities , however, they are experiencing a significant shortge of essential sports materials and equipments needed to enhance their sporting endeavors.

He noted that they rely solely on their one set of old Jerssys, lacking a football and a proper football field for training, all of which are crucial for effective educational progress.

He said the absence of these items and facilities may diminish the students` enthusiasm for attending school, thus prompting a call for support.

He also mentioned that the school has received approximately Ten Computers and a projector for academic purposes.

Unforunately, the lack of classrooms space to accommodate these computers has rended them ineffective,as they are presently stored in the office due to the absence of a suitable room for installation.

He earnestly appealed to those in positions of authority to assist in addressing these educational challenges to facilitate effective teaching and learning.

End.
