Chief Appeals For Basic Social Amenties

The Chief of Kwabena Kumi in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern Region, Baffour Okofo Kumi, has appealed to government and relevant stakeholders to provide the community with basic social amenities such as a health facility, public toilets, and most importantly, a reliable telecommunication network.

He noted that the absence of these essential services is hindering the progress and development of the area, calling on authorities to come to their aid.

Speaking during a festival celebration in the community, Baffour Okofo Kumi expressed deep concern about the lack of critical amenities, including an operational health center, proper sanitation facilities, and mobile network coverage.

He appealed to both government and private investors to support the community, adding that several acres of land have been allocated for potential development projects.

The Chief also urged residents to remain united and work together to promote peace and development in Kwabena Kumi.

As part of the festival, a health screening exercise was organized for residents.

The health team leader, William Asiedu, advised community members to take their health seriously by paying attention to their diet and lifestyle choices.
End.
