Chief Appeals For Befitting Police Station, Urgent Attention To Other Challenges

The Chief of Anum Apapam in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern region, Nana Adjei Kpomo III has appealed to the government for a befitting and modern police station, stating that, the current outmoded facility in the community defeat modern policing and setback to effective and efficient security system required to addressing crimes in a environment where illegal mining activities and other social vices are in the rise.


The Chief who was speaking at a send off ceremony of one police, Detective Chief Inspector Pantuah Tabey officer, explained that, the current state of the police station and does not befit the status of the community and needs an upgrade for effective policing.

Touching on other challenges confronting the community such as deplorable market facility, poor sanitation, the Chief appealed for support to address the situation as soon as possible.


The Ayensuano District Commander of the Ghana Police Service, DSP Francis Nartey said that, Detective Chief Inspector Pantuah Tabey has really distinguished himself, serving with integrity in his many years of stay in the community, urging him to continue to exhibit humility attitude so he can go far in the service.


Meanwhile the Assembly member of the area, also described the outgoing police officer, Detective Chief Inspector Pantuah as an exceptional personnel who discharged his duties with professionalism throughout his stay in the community and he will be missed.

The Assembly member of the Anum Apapam electoral area, again reiterated the call by the Chief to upgrade the existing police station in the community, pointing out that, it service the numerous communities around the catchment area.

He raised serious concerns about illegal extension made by the residents themselves due to the absent of proper extension work by the Electricity ever since the community was connected to the national grid, calling urgent action to address the situation.
