My Education Is At Risk” – Son Of Late Assin North NPP Delegate Breaks Silence After Father’s Death

Ibrahim Issah, the son of the late Yahya also known as Kwaku Esaah, the NPP Polling Station Chairman for Assin Breku Ninkyiso, has spoken emotionally about how the tragic loss of his father is threatening his future.

Speaking to Angel News, the visibly shaken young man, who is a newly admitted student at Sepasie Islamic SHS in Ashanti Region, revealed that his father’s sudden death has thrown the family into uncertainty and despair.

According to him, the deceased was the sole breadwinner, responsible for his school fees, feeding, and general upkeep.

“My father supported everything, my school, my clothes, even what I eat.

Now that he’s gone, I don’t know how I’ll survive or continue schooling,” he lamented.

Ibrahim also used the opportunity to appeal to the Ghana Police Service to intensify enforcement on commercial motorbike operations.

He believes stricter regulation is needed to curb the rampant speeding that often leads to avoidable crashes.

His father, Yahya, died days after being involved in a ghastly motor accident at Assin Akonfudi while on his way to attend an NPP delegates’ meeting with presidential aspirant Dr. Bryan Acheampong. Yahya sustained critical injuries, including a leg amputation, and was referred to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, where he sadly passed.

The Nasara Coordinator for Assin North, Alhaji Vilinke Mohammed, who was also involved in the accident, is still receiving treatment at St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu. The third victim, Kwaku Mensah, was also referred to another hospital for further care.

Yaw Asamoah, Polling Station Secretary for Assin Nuaso, who visited the victims, echoed the concerns about over-speeding by motor riders.

He described the situation as worrying and called for immediate intervention to prevent further loss of lives.

The accident has left the Assin North NPP community and families of the victims in mourning, as calls grow for improved road safety and healthcare support in the area.
