Apprentice Selling Bofrot, Sandals After Graduation Is Unacceptable – Former NDC Chairman

Former NDC Constituency Chairman for Lower Manya Krobo and Founder of Walter Hormenu Foundation, David Walter Yaw Hormenu have said apprentices selling bofrot, sandals and other things after graduation is unacceptable and should be a thing of the past in the Municipality and the country as a whole.

Speaking at Agormanya after donating sewing machines and hair dryers to 100 apprentices, he noted that, most of the apprentices end up selling bofrot, sandals among other things due to lack of capital and other logistics after graduating.

According to him, they will do a follow up on all the apprentices in the Municipality and ensure that they are sourced with funding from Masloc among others after completion to enable them to establish their own business.

He added that, this step will help them to expand or create an avenue for more apprentices to acquire skills training to reduce unemployment in the area.

He therefore urged all the apprentices to be self disciplined for a brighter future.

Some of the Apprentice in an interview expressed their excitement to the former NDC Chairman for shaping their future with such donations.
