Media Qnd Politicians Should Partner For Development, Not Enemies – Tarkwa MP

The Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality, Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor, has advised politicians and the general public to view the media as development partners rather than enemies.

Speaking at the media award launch in Tarkwa, he emphasized the crucial role the media plays in national development, including informing, educating, and entertaining the public, as well as holding power accountable.

“The media is a crucial tool in national development, and we should treat them with respect,” Hon. Issah Taylor said.

He warned that as an MP, he will not tolerate any infringement on the rights of media personnel, and urged everyone to draw the media close and motivate them to feel their importance in the country.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Tarkwa Nsuaem, Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, echoed the sentiment, saying the media’s role in development cannot be downplayed.
