Ekumfi Constituency To Benefit From New Farm Service Centre….MP
The Member of Parliament for Ekumfi Constituency has announced plans for the establishment of a modern Farm Service Centre aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and supporting farmers across the district.
Speaking at the 41st Farmers’ Day celebration held at Ekumfi Akwakrom,in the Ekumfi Constituency,Hon.Ekow Quainoo also urged the youth to venture into farming rather than relying solely on white-collar jobs.
He encouraged young people to take advantage of the numerous opportunities within the agricultural sector.
The MP assured residents of ongoing efforts to improve road networks to ensure smooth transportation of farm produce to markets.
He further revealed that the assembly is working towards establishing a 24-hour economy market to help farmers sell their products more efficiently.
The District Chief Executive for Ekumfi District Hon.Ismelia Nana Asamoah who also used the occasion to advise chiefs across the district to allocate lands for large-scale farming to help expand agricultural activities and create more opportunities for the youth.
Lastly, Nana Kweesah Okomfoya I Guantoahen for Ekumfi Traditional Area also thanks the MP for the good initiative he has adventure in helping Agric business in the Ekumfi District.
He then appealed to the Member of Parliament to help supply Premix fuel and other tools and equipment to Fishermen in the District to enhanced fishing and other activities in the District.
