Gomoa Central Teachers Urged To Adhere To Professional Ethics

The Gomoa Central Teachers Welfare Association has urged teachers in the district to strictly adhere to the ethics and laws governing the teaching profession.

The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Theophilous Dadey advised teachers to desist from actions that contravene professional ethics, stressing that misconduct undermines the integrity of the profession and the trust placed in teachers by society.

Speaking at a Symposium dubbed ; THE TEACHER AND THE LAW with teachers, Mr. Dadey highlighted pressing issues concerning some teachers going against the regulations that govern their work.

He cautioned that such practices could attract disciplinary sanctions and negatively affect the image of the teaching service.

He therefore encouraged teachers to uphold professionalism, respect the code of conduct, and serve as role models to their students and the community.

Mr. Dadey concluded by calling on teachers to remain committed to their duties and contribute positively to the development of education in the Gomoa Central District.

Meanwhile, some teachers who had the opportunity to participate in the workshop expressed their gratitude to the Association for organizing the training, describing it as educative and timely in addressing challenges within the teaching profession.
