Life Saving Skills During Accident And Emergency Should Be Included In Our School’s Curriculum

St John Ambulance Ghana, led by its Ashanti Regional Coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Asante has trained key stakeholders in Bibiani ( MTTD, Fire Service, Health Workers, Immigration, Road Safety, Media and others) in how to administer first Aid care to the injured, faint and unconscious casualties at any given point in time especially as the Christmas festivities sets in .

Addressing the media after the training, the Ashanti Regional Coordinator for St John’s Ambulance Service Ghana, Mr Emmanuel Asante highlighted what necessitated their move to visit the Western North Region particularly Bibiani for such training .

Mr Emmanuel Asante further enterated the need for everybody to be enlightened with First Aid and life saving skills and also the essence to add First Aid to our school curriculum so we can train a lot of people for such purposes.

The Principal Transport Assistant for the Western North Region, Road Safety, Mr Richmond Addo Gyan, added his voice saying that his outfit is focusing seriously on wearing seat belt before, during and after the Christmas in order to prevent unnecessary deaths as a result of failure to wear seat belts .

Finally Police inspector Addea Amoateng of Sefwi Bekwai MTTD also indicated that this is long awaited training which has come at the right time to help them handle and save such can of situations whiles they are in their duty post.
