One Dead, 13 Injured In A Fatal Crash Rocks In Ho

A devastating head-on collision on Power-House Road in Ho, Volta Region, claimed one life and left 13 others fighting for their lives on Friday, December 19.

The accident, which involved a Hyundai saloon car (GE 1005Y) and a Toyota Land Cruiser (CR 2318-25), occurred at an unspecified time, leaving a trail of destruction and chaos in its wake.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), a total of 15 people were involved in the crash, with one person miraculously escaping unhurt.

The Ho Municipal Rescue Team, led by Assistant Divisional Officer II (ADO II) Elorm Dorlvo, sprang into action, responding swiftly to the scene to rescue the injured victims.

Fire officers worked tirelessly to extract the 13 injured victims from the wreckage, transporting them to the Ho Teaching Hospital for urgent medical care.

Following the rescue operation, GNFS personnel cleared the road of debris and removed the damaged vehicles, restoring safe movement for motorists and pedestrians.

The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, with investigations ongoing.

This incident brings to the forefront the need for increased road safety measures and vigilance on Ghana’s highways.
