The Member of Parliament, Dr. Ebenezer Kojo Arhin, in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES), demonstrated his commitment to education in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.

He honored outstanding teachers and pensioners from various circuits during the 9 Lessons and Carols service held at Mfantseman Girls Senior High School.

The honorees received recognition, including 32-inch TVs, cash prizes, and citations, during the festive season.

Dr. Arhin emphasized the vital role of education in human life, highlighting that teachers are indispensable.

He stated that teachers deserve recognition and appreciation during their time on earth, rather than solely in the afterlife.

He encouraged them to continue their dedication to teaching, inspiring the next generation of educators.

The Mfantseman Municipality held a 9 lesson and carols service as special event to celebrate its dedicated educators.

Mrs. Edwina Gladys Donkor, speaking on behalf of Education Director Mr. Ransford Appiah, shared the joy of recognizing the hard work of the best teachers and honoring retirees.

It was a heartwarming moment, especially for those who have devoted over three decades to teaching.

Mrs. Donkor also highlighted the significant support from the MP for the Mfantseman constituency.

This was the fourth time teachers have been rewarded, and this year’s prizes, including awards and cash, made the event even more memorable. It’s a true testament to the MP’s commitment.

She also encouraged all teachers to keep striving for excellence.

Recognizing the challenges they face, such as the need for better teaching resources and accommodation, she appealed to the government for assistance.

Hopefully, this support will help teachers continue their important work
