Bibiani Circuit Has Sentenced A 45 Year Old Shop Attendant To 10 Years Imprison For Stealing Footwear

Bibiani Circuit Court presided over by His Honor Frank Asiedu Nimako has sentenced one Manasseh Michael, 45, a shop attendant at Bibiani Lineso, to 10 years imprison for stealing 21 sacks of footwear and boxer shorts , all valued at Ghc 57,500.

The accused person in his caution statement further agreed that he has squandered proceeds from the sales of 34 sacks of footwear and set the shop ablaze in an attempt to cover up.

After investigation by the police, the accused person was found to have stolen complainant’s ( Akosua Maboah, 50 years) footwear to the total sum of Ghc 89,500 and cash sum of Ghc 4,200

The complainant explained how it all came about to Kofi Gyabaah Prof after Court proceedings in Bibiani.

She further pleaded with well meaning Ghanaians and philanthropists to come to her aid so she can defray the debt she owed her business partner.

The accused, Manasseh Michael after his sentenced also interacted with Kofi Gyabaah Prof said he actually do not know what pushed him to steal from the shop and again set the shop ablaze.

He accepted full responsibility of his conduct and the jail term.

He further admonished his colleagues and upcoming Youth to learn a lesson from his situation and be dedicated and truthful to whoever they work with for a brighter future.
