Youth Cautioned Against Drug And Alocohol Abuse Ahead Of Christmas
The Gomoa Central District Youth Employment Director, Mr. Mohammed Adam Okyere, has cautioned the youth in the district against the abuse of drugs and alcohol, especially during the Christmas festivities.
Speaking to Angel TV reporter Nana Kojo Asare, Mr. Okyere noted that excessive intake of alcohol and the use of illicit drugs could negatively affect the future and productivity of young people, urging them to conduct themselves responsibly during the festive season.
He further used the opportunity to highlight some measures the District Assembly has put in place to support the youth, including employment and skills development programmes aimed at improving their livelihoods.
Mr. Okyere encouraged the youth to take advantage of these initiatives and remain law-abiding to contribute meaningfully to the development of the district.
