According to eyewitness accounts, a Toyota Tundra pickup truck reportedly suffered brake failure while in motion and rammed into several vehicles along the stretch.

The impact caused panic and chaos, injuring roadside hawkers and occupants of the affected vehicles.

Moments after the crash, the Ablekuma North Ambulance Station was alerted and responded swiftly to the scene.

Paramedics immediately conducted triage, stabilized the critically injured victims, and transported them to nearby health facilities for urgent medical care.

The prompt response by the ambulance crew is being widely commended by residents and onlookers, who say their timely intervention helped prevent further loss of life, especially among the most vulnerable victims, including the young child.
