The Kasoa Odupong Market Retailers Association has intervene in the assault on journalist by firefighters at fire scene at kasoa new market in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
The Association is appealing to Ghana Journalist Association, GJA, authorities to pardon fire fighters at kasoa, citing that the firefighters act out of frustration.
If we will recall, it was reported on Angel TV yesterday midday news that, fire service officers who were deployed to fight fire at the Kasoa new market have attacked and assaulted a journalist with class media Group Samuel Addo for filming an altercation between civilians and fire officers.
Addressing the press, Comfort Agyare, The president of the Association’s has condermed the incident, urging authorities who are handling the case to pardon the firefighters, emphasizing that the firefighters action was out of frustration but not intentionally.
Adding more to her point she has urged the President of Ghana Journalist Association to pardon the firefighters and let the case rest since the journalist involved is healthy.
