One Dead, 30 Injured In Ejisu Road Accident

At least one person has been confirmed dead, with 30 others injured, following a road accident on Monday morning at Krapa, near Ejisu, in the Ashanti Region.

The accident, which occurred around 11:40 a.m., left several passengers seriously injured, with some reported to be in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses told Akoma News Kwame Yeboa that a Toyota vehicle with registration number AS 3552-20 collided with a Ford vehicle, AW 3264-21, on the Kumasi–Ejisu road.

All injured passengers were rushed to Living Waters Hospital in Ejisu for medical treatment. They said,

Confirming the unfortunate incident to Akoma News, the Medical Director of Living Waters Hospital, Dr. Gabriel Sakyi Kwofie, said a total of 31 passengers were brought to the facility.

He confirmed that one person has died, while the remaining victims are currently on admission and receiving treatment.

Dr. Kwofie added that two students are among the injured passengers and are responding positively to treatment.
