ECG Staff Survives Electrocution While Working On Power Extension At Bonwire

An employee of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) narrowly escaped death after being electrocuted while working on a power extension project in Bonwire.

According to reports, the worker was fixing a power line on an electric pole when electricity was unexpectedly restored, resulting in a powerful shock.

His safety belt prevented him from falling, although the current forced his head downward.

The victim reportedly fell unconscious for nearly 10 minutes but eventually regained consciousness.

He was later rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment.
