Yilo Krobo Divisional Chiefs, Queen Mothers Destools Paramount Chief Over Traditional Rites Misconduct

Six Divisional Chiefs, with some Sub Chiefs and Queen Mothers of Yilo Krobo Traditional Council have performed traditional rites at Somanya to re-affirm the self destoolment of Paramount Chief for the area, Nene Annorbaa Sasaraku II for boycotting traditional rites for many years.

Addressing the Media, Secretary of the Yilo Krobo Traditional Council and Divisional Chief of Okper, Nene Anyeenorgu Teye Agor IX noted that, the recent comments made by the Chief and some behaviors of him goes against the customs and traditions of the Yilo Krobo state.

According to him, the traditional leader boycotted traditional rites, destroyed a sacred altar for the Yilo State known as Kuntu at the palace, invoked curses on any Chief who performed traditional rites and also declared that he is no more interested in the throne among other behaviors which they gave him ample time to desist from such behaviors but all prove furtile so therefore all the divisional chiefs have join hands to re- affirmed his self destoolment.

At their emergency traditional Council meeting held at Somanya, they appointed Nene Amoatey Akpatsu Azza IV Divisional Chief of Nyewer as the acting President of the Yilo Krobo Traditional Council.
