Motoka No 2 D/A Basic School Cries For Classrooms And Futntures.

Access to quality education at Motoka No 2 in the Krachi Nchumuru District of the Oti Region remains a significant challenge for students.

The school currently lacks proper classrooms and furniture, forcing pupils to hold classes outdoors under trees, sitting on stones, or directly on the ground.

Angel tv News revealed that the absence of adequate infrastructure and furniture affects students’ academic progress.

Children are compelled to study outside while weather conditions add to their difficulties.

The PTA Chairman, Solomon Wajon explained that classes often end abruptly whenever bad weather threatens, and students are sent home.

He mentioned that community members built makeshift structures after repeated appeals to the District Assembly and successive governments went unanswered.

Due to this infrastructural deficit, some parents send their children elsewhere for better educational opportunities, despite their desire for their children to stay local.

The PTA chairman also lamented the lack of proper learning materials and logistics, which could improve attendance and educational quality.

He called on the government, philanthropists, and other organizations to help provide decent school facilities.

Residents also expressed concern over the lack of classrooms and furniture, arguing that such resources are essential for improving education in rural areas.

They urged the government and benevolent organizations to assist in addressing these needs.
