Twifo Nuamakrom Man Arrested For Allegedly Burying Prophetess In Bedroom

Fear and shock have gripped residents of Twifo Nuamakrom in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of the Central Region following the arrest of a 44-year-old man, Kweku Charles, for allegedly burying an 80-year-old prophetess in her bedroom.

The deceased, Esther Bolu, a Nigerian national, was the founder and leader of the Miracles Prayer Centre at Twifo Nuamakrom. Reports indicate that she had been battling a prolonged illness prior to her death.

Sources say Kweku Charles, who initially sought spiritual healing at the prayer camp, later took over the administration and daily activities of the church due to the prophetess’ deteriorating health.

Some community members have alleged that he was in an amorous relationship with the prophetess, though this has not been officially confirmed.

It is further alleged that following her death, Kweku Charles secretly buried her body in a bedroom within their residence without informing family members, church leadership, or the appropriate community authorities.

The incident came to light after residents noticed that Esther Bolu had not been seen in public for more than two weeks. When questioned, Kweku Charles claimed he had sent the prophetess to Accra for medical treatment.

However, inconsistencies in his explanation heightened suspicion among community members.
Upon further confrontation, the suspect allegedly attempted to flee, prompting residents to search the house.

The search reportedly led to the discovery of a body buried in one of the bedrooms.
The elders of Twifo Nuamakrom subsequently reported the matter to the Twifo Praso Police, who arrested Kweku Charles.

Environmental health officers have since been directed to exhume the body to assist ongoing investigations.

Kweku Charles remains in police custody as investigations continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the death and burial of the prophetess.
