Ashanti Regional Police Command Set Seized Drugs Ablaze

The Ashanti Regional Police Drugs Enforcement Unit has destroyed a massive haul of illicit drugs, including weed, tramadol, cocaine, and sex-enhancing substances, in a bid to combat the growing menace.

The drugs were seized during a series of operations in the region.

Inspector Richard Nkrumah at the police enforcement Unit, stated that suspects arrested during the operations are currently facing court charges.

“The punishment for drug dealing is huge, and we want to serve as a deterrent to others,” he warned, urging those involved in the trade to desist.

Nkrumah emphasized that the police are committed to tackling the drug problem, which has been linked to various social vices and crimes in the region.

The destruction of the seized drugs is part of efforts to remove harmful substances from circulation and protect communities.
