Asiedu Nketiah Urges NDC Supporters To Work Hard To Maintain Gap Over NPP

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has urged party members to work harder to maintain the party’s advantage over the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, although the NDC currently enjoys a comfortable lead, complacency could erode the gains made by the party.

He therefore called on supporters at all levels to remain active and committed as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.

Mr. Asiedu Nketiah explained that the NDC’s economic transformation agenda, which focuses on resetting the economy, job creation, macroeconomic stability, and structural reforms, remains key to sustaining public confidence.

The NDC Chairman made these remarks during his thank-you tour at Bogoso in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipality of the Western Region.
.
He further stated that under the leadership of former President John Dramani Mahama, an NDC government will ensure Ghana’s natural resources are managed effectively to benefit all citizens.

He cited examples of countries that have successfully leveraged their natural resources for inclusive development.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Chief Executive for Prestea Huni Valley, Hon. Mathew Aryeh, highlighted development challenges facing the municipality, particularly the poor state of road infrastructure.

He appealed for the inclusion of the area in the Big Push initiative and raised concerns about the operations of some mining companies in the municipality.
