Cape Coast Decongestion Exercise Order & Discipline Will Be Restored Soon- CCMA Coordinating Director Assures
The cape coast metropolitan assembly (ccma) task force led by coordinating director stormed the central business market centres to demolished wooden structures, seizing containers, hawkers from the roadside.
The exercise, done with the help of police, fire command and other units, clearing illegal structures and ensuring pedestrian walkways at the Kotokuraba Market and Abura Market.
Coordinating Director for the Cape coast metro assembly, Mr. Asuma Braimah, said the action aimed to reduce congestion, prevent accident and enhance sanitation.
“these indiscipline traders will never be allowed to return there to trade, we’re using with red paint to indicate where they can trade without them trading close to the road again” He further said, discipline will be restored in the metropolis.
Mr. Braimah assured traders the assembly would work with them to identify suitable trading centre.
