Over 14 “Wee” Ghettos In Gomoa Nyanyano Destroyed By Nanaom To Curb Drug Abuse

Asafo company and nananom of Gomoa Nyanyano in the Gomoa East District has intensify efforts to fight drug abuse by pulling down and burning known ‘wee smokers ghettos’ in the community.

The exercise was led by the leaders of two Asafo Group in Gomoa Nyanyano with the support of the chiefs form part of the measures to curb illegal drug activities and related social vices in Gomoa Nyanyano.

In an interview with Angel news, the Odikro of Gomoa Nyanyano, Nana Kwame Addy Wiabo VII has warned the youth against drugs, citing that anyone who would be caught will face the law.

He has also cautioned parents to advise their children to desist from drugs since the drugs is destroying the youth of Gomoa Nyanyano.

Meanwhile, the Leader of Asafo number 1 Nana Kuntu Blankson has said, the intake of drugs is on rise at Gomoa Nyanyano and is threaten the moral fabric and reputation of the town.

He said the traditional leaders are determined to protect the community and guide the youth towards responsible and productive lifestyle.
