Mankessim Tragedy Pure Water Truck Kills Student, Two Others In Critically Injured

A devastating incident has struck Mankessim, where a pure water truck fatally struck three students as they attempted to cross the highway, leading to one student’s death and two others in critical condition at the Roman Hospital.

The tragic event unfolded around 8:45 am near the cemetery in Mankessim. Eyewitnesses, including an auto repairer named Mr. Kofi Kinata, recounted that the students, accompanied by their parents, were crossing the road to reach their school.

Reports indicate that after the parents checked for oncoming traffic, they signaled for the children to proceed.

However, a truck heavily loaded with pure water was reportedly speeding.

Despite the driver’s efforts to avoid the students, the vehicle struck them, causing the fatal injury to one and critically injuring the other two .

The driver of the truck is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations into the cause of the accident .

The police have intervened and are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.

The severity of the collision underscores the dangers present on this highway, where similar accidents involving trucks have occurred.
