Chief Justice Urges Okere Residents To Maintain Newly Commissioned Adukrom District Court.

The Chief Justice of Ghana, Justice Paul Baffoe Bonnie, has urged residents of Okere district in the Eastern Region to help maintain the newly commissioned district court at Adukrom for its long use.

Speaking at the commissioning, he noted that Ghanaians have a mentality that government is the only one in Accra sitting at the Jubilee House; instead, Ghanaians are part of the government, so they must be watchdogs over government properties to help maintain them.

According to him, he will not be happy to see the newly built Adukrom Court in a deplorable state in a few years as the government has invested in its establishment to aid justice for the people in Okere district; therefore, the residents must help maintain it for long-term use.

The District Chief Executive for Okere, Eric Williams Ayettey, noted that the commissioning of Adukrom Court has come in the right direction as residents in recent years travel far distances to seek justice; therefore, he urged all residents to collaborate and maintain the facility for future generations.
