CID Boss Visits Swedru After Shs Athletics Violence.

In the wake of the violent attack on a student of Awutu Obrachire Senior High Technical School during the zonal athletics competition in Agona Swedru, the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, has taken swift action.
The CID boss visited the Swedru School of Business to address the situation directly, engaging school management, assessing the circumstances surrounding the incident, and reinforcing the urgent need for discipline and accountability.
According to Lydia Yaako Donkor, the purpose of the visit was clear to restore order, strengthen responsibility, and send a strong message that violence within Ghana’s educational institutions will not be tolerated.
As investigations continue, the CID is actively identifying all individuals involved in the attack.
Authorities have assured the public that anyone found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
“Our students must feel safe in school and at every sanctioned event. Discipline, responsibility, and respect for life must remain non-negotiable,” she emphasized.
The Ghana Police Service remains committed to ensuring justice is served and that such unfortunate incidents do not reoccur.
