Ahafo Regional Police Commander Debunks Claims About Informants.
The Ahafo Regional Police Commander, DCOP Mr. James Annor, has debunked claims that the police reveal the identities of individuals who provide them with information.
According to him, in most cases, it is the informants themselves who disclose their identities to the public.
He stated that the police treat all information with strict confidentiality.
He added that if anyone does not trust the system, they can go directly to any Police Commander’s office to provide information.
DCOP Annor further explained that if someone provides information to the police and their identity is leaked, they should report the matter to the Commander to ensure they receive the necessary security and protection.
He also addressed concerns that people do not get feedback on cases reported at police stations.
He assured the public that due process is followed and the appropriate punishment is given to offenders at the end of investigations.
