Meanwhile, Nananom of the Gomoa Assin in the Central Region have appealed to the Minister for Roads and Highways and the contractor working on the Kasoa–Winneba dualisation project to incorporate inner roads that link directly to the main highway.

According to Nana Obokom Atta IX, Chief of Gomoa Dasum who spoke on behalf of the traditional leaders said, although the ongoing dualisation of the Kasoa–Winneba highway stretch is a commendable initiative, the full economic benefits of the project may not be realized if adjoining inner roads remain in poor condition.

He noted that during the rainy season, some of these roads become nearly impassable, affecting transportation and increasing the cost of doing business, which discourages potential investors.
