Deputy Minister Calls For Unity, Urges Youth To Uphold The Values Of Forefathers.

The Deputy Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources and Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West Constituency, Hon. Gizella Tetteh Agbotui, has urged Ghanaian youth to embrace the values of their forefathers in order to promote national unity and development.

She made the call during the 69th Independence Day celebration of the Awutu Senya West District held at Obrachire Senior High Technical School.

Speaking on the theme “Building Prosperity and Restoring Hope,” the Deputy Minister emphasized the need for unity among residents of the constituency and encouraged them to support government efforts aimed at bringing development to the area.

Hon. Gizella Tetteh Agbotui further advised the youth to uphold the principles and values left behind by their forefathers and to exhibit positive behaviour that will contribute to national development, stressing that they are the future leaders of the country.

She also disclosed that the Awutu Senya West District will soon be elevated to a Municipal status, a move she believes will accelerate development and improve service delivery in the area.

A total of seven primary schools, five junior high schools, two senior high schools, three cadet groups and one brass band participated in the colourful Independence Day parade.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Awutu Senya West District, Hon. Kalala Nyamekye Eghan, has pledged the Assembly’s commitment to initiating more development projects to improve the living conditions of residents.

He highlighted some ongoing projects being undertaken by the Assembly in collaboration with the Member of Parliament to support the growth and development of the district.
