Construct The Road To Methodist Senior High School In Berekum To Reduce Dust And Mud – Director Of Education Pleads.

Berekum East Municipal Director of Education, Mr. David Owusu Ansah, has earnestly requested the Berekum East Municipal Assembly to urgently facilitate the construction of the entrance road to the Berekum Methodist Senior High School to ensure the smooth movement for the students and mitigate issues related to dust and mud during the dry and rainy seasons, respectively.

Mr. Ansah noted that the Assembly has already initiated the construction of inner roads in Berekum, and he emphasized that the road leading to the school should be included in this construction phase.

He made this appeal during the commissioning of the school’s new entrance, which was constructed by the school’s Parent Teacher Association.

Mr. Ernest Osei, Assistant Headmaster of Academics at Berekum Methodist Senior High School, made an appeal to the government for assistance in completing the fencing of the school for security purposes.

He noted that while the Methodist church and the school’s Parent-Teacher Association have contributed to the fencing project, it remains incomplete.

Therefore, government support is needed to finalize the fencing, which is essential for preventing encroachment of the school lands, deterring unauthorized entry by outsiders that could pose a threat to students, and stopping students from using unapproved routes to leave the campus without the authorities’ knowledge.

The P. T. A Chairman of the school, Mr. Korang Omega, revealed the purpose behind the construction of the school’s entrance. He stated that this initiative is intended to enhance the school’s image, ensuring it is recognized among other institutions with aesthetically pleasing and attractive environments.

He mentioned that the Parent-Teacher Association, in collaboration with the school management, has begun the construction of a fence wall to safeguard the students from potential security threats and to protect the school’s land from encroachment.
