Ghanaians Must Stop Praying For Government Failure – Bishop Emmanuel.

The Presiding Bishop of Christian Faith Church International, Bishop Emmanuel, has called on Ghanaians to stop undermining one another and instead work together for the development of the country.
According to him, it has become common for some members of opposition political parties to pray for the failure of the ruling government, forgetting that the success or failure of any government ultimately affects every citizen in the country.
Bishop Emmanuel noted that such attitudes do not help the nation’s development and urged citizens to rather pray for the success of the country’s leadership.
He therefore called on Ghanaians to be patriotic and support the President and other national leaders in their efforts to bring development to the people.
The Presiding Bishop further emphasized that irrespective of political affiliation, Ghana is one so Ghanaians should avoid actions that undermine one another but instead support their leaders to succeed for the overall growth and progress of the nation.
Bishop Emmanuel made these remarks during a special service organized by Christian Faith Church International at the Prophet Botwe Cathedral to commemorate Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebration.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Chief Executive for Sekondi-Takoradi, Hon. Lawyer F. F. Faidoo, in an interview after the service, called on Ghanaians to rekindle the love they once had for the country in the olden days.
He noted that citizens must begin to think about the legacy they will leave behind and strive to lay a solid foundation for future generations.
The Resident Pastor for the Prophet Botwe Cathedral, Rev. Mary Crentsil, also revealed that the church is part of the country and therefore finds it necessary to celebrate the freedom and peace Ghana continues to enjoy.
She added that such celebrations help remind citizens of the importance of unity, peace, and gratitude for the nation’s independence.
