Fire Burnt Down Ajumako Ocheso Police Station Building Completely.

A devastating fire has completely destroyed the Ajumako Ocheso Police Station in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.

Eyewitnesses spotted thick smoke and flames during broad daylight following an alleged power outage, prompting a rapid response from locals who found the building engulfed beyond control.

The blaze reduced the entire structure to ceiling level, with firefighters from Ajumako Enyan Essiam District, led by DO2 Kingsley Yeboah, taking about three hours to extinguish it due to its intensity.

No casualties or injuries occurred, as on-duty officers evacuated safely, though no personal belongings were recovered from the rooms.

In an interview with Douglas Oyiboh Amponsah, District Fire Officer DO II 2 Kingsley suspects a power outage possibly “light off” surge as the likely trigger, pending ongoing investigations by fire services and police.

He stressed the need for public institutions to keep fire extinguishers on hand for early response.

Police from Ajumako Enyan Essiam District and Central Region command visited the site but have not issued findings yet.

Authorities deem the building irreparable, urging construction of a new station to restore operations in the area.
