Four Critically Injured As Container Truck Runs Taxi At Cape Coast-Kotokuraba Market.

A chaotic scene unfolded this morning at Cape Coast’s bustling Kotokuraba Market when a fully loaded rice container truck lost control and plowed into a taxi, crushing it against a nearby building.

Speaking to pressmen, the Assemblyman for Kotokuraba Electoral Area, Hon. Baba Ali, described the horrific incident said the truck suddenly hit back of the car in front, smashing into the taxi right in front of it, according to him impact crushed both vehicles against the structure, trapping passengers inside the vehicles.”

Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud screech followed by a thunderous crash around with market-goers got there to pull victims from the accident.

The four victims from the taxi and truck are in critical condition and have been rushed to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention.

People gathered says, victims are battling severe injuries, including fractures and internal bleeding.

Police at Kotokurba have impounded the truck and are investigating the accident.
