Students Who Sleep In These Rooms Won’t Be Afraid In Prisons – Akrofuom MP Describes Boys Dormitory.
The Member of Parliament for Akrofuom Constituency in the Ashanti Region Hon. Azumah Joseph has described Akrofuom Senior High Technical School Boys Dormitory as Prison cell and worse ever to accommodate students.
Speaking in an interview with ABN’s Chukwu Joseph during the ground breaking ceremony to commence the ultra modern Boys dormitory building, Hon. Azumah explained that “We are treating the students humanely, the current state of Akrofuom SHTS Boy’s Dormitory is equal
to that of Prisoners rooms, and any student who sleeps here won’t be afraid to spend some time in prison because of equality”.
According to the MP, the entire school are seriously sick and no minister or prominent person will allow their children to study here for just a month. “I wept on the first day I entered the boy’s dormitory” Azumah Joseph said.
The Headmaster of the School Mr. Osei Owusu, is worried about how the authorities have neglected them comparing his school to others, he also described the situation as nothing but orphanage home.
The Headmaster believed that, with the construction of this dormitory, it is going to reduce their burden and raise their morale higher.
