TMG GHANA MONTH: Local Rice Vendors Urge Government To Support Farmers.

Local rice vendors have urged the government of Ghana to support rice farmers in their production.

The month of March has been chosen as the month to celebrate locally produced and manufactured goods.

In this perspective, our reporter, Bismark Mensah, paid a visit to a local rice vendor, Maame Sala, who sells cooked rice in Kumasi.

She sells the local redish or brownish rice, locally known as “Kwenkwen”. She took me through the produre she goes through before the food gets ready on the market

She therefore pleaded with Ghanaians to continue to consume our locally produced rice and to the government, she urged to support the farmers by providing milling machineries.
