Floodwaters Engulf Akyantansu-Baakoniaba Road After Bridge Collapse.

The Akyantansu Nkwanta to Akyantansu and Baakoniaba road in Atwima Mponua, Ashanti Region, has become a nightmare for residents and drivers.
The collapsed bridge has caused flooding, making it impassable during rains. “When it rains, we’re trapped.
We can’t go to Agogoso for market day, teachers can’t go to work, and it’s affecting our livelihoods,” a resident said.
The situation is dire, with farming communities like Akyantansu and Baakoniaba bearing the brunt. Produce is rotting, and farmers are losing income.
Residents are pleading for urgent repairs to restore connectivity and revive the local economy.
“Please, we need this bridge fixed. Our children are missing school, and our farmers are suffering,” a resident appealed.
Assemblyman Mr. James Amponsah aka Teacher says the bridge’s collapse is a major setback.
“Several communities rely on this road. We’re talking about food security, education, and healthcare everything is affected,” he said.
