Residents Raise Alarm Over Abandoned Agenda 111 Hospital In Gomoa Afransi.

Residents and traditional leaders at Gomoa Afransi in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region have expressed serious concern over the abandoned Agenda 111 hospital project in the area.

According to the residents, the health facility, which was expected to improve healthcare delivery in the district, has remained incomplete for a long period, raising fears about the future of the project and the wellbeing of people in the community.

Speaking with Angel TV reporter Nana Kojo Asare, the Adontihene of Gomoa Afransi, Nana Kow Ninson Atta V, appealed to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama to intervene and ensure the completion of the hospital project to serve the healthcare needs of residents in Gomoa Afransi and surrounding communities.
He stressed that the completion of the facility would help reduce the burden on existing health centres and improve access to quality healthcare in the district.

Some residents who also spoke to Angel TV expressed disappointment over the delay in completing the project.

They noted that the hospital, when completed, would significantly reduce the distance residents travel to seek medical care.

They therefore called on government and the relevant authorities to as a matter of urgency resume work on the project to ensure its timely completion for the benefit of the people.

The Agenda 111 initiative was introduced to improve healthcare infrastructure across the country by constructing hospitals in districts without such facilities.

Residents in Gomoa Afransi say they remain hopeful that government will respond to their concerns and complete the project to improve healthcare delivery in the area.
