Ashanti Region Residents Call For QNET Crackdown.

Residents in the Ashanti Region are urging the Ghana Police Service, led by IGP Christian Tetteh Yohonu, to take immediate action against QNET workers allegedly deceiving and exploiting people.
They’re accused of licking victims to Burkina Faso and Togo under false pretenses, promising jobs or travel opportunities, only to leave them stranded and hungry.
One resident, still searching for her missing child, claimed QNET took her from Obuasi to Kumasi with promises of work, and she’s since lost contact.
Others allege the group resorts to theft due to hunger, with reports of plantains and other food items being stolen. The situation has left many families in distress.
Residents are demanding police patrol Kronum and Tigo junction, areas reportedly frequented by QNET workers, to evacuate them.
“We want the police to act now and bring these people to justice,” a resident said.
The Ashanti Regional police command has been alerted, and residents await action.
