MP Hajia Zuwera Donates GHC 21,100 To Support Gonjaland Youth Branches For 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has donated a total of GHC 21,100 to four local branches of the Gonjaland Youth Association in the East Gonja Municipality to support their participation in the Association’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The donation was presented on behalf of the MP by Chief Kijipuwura Mohammed Achilo, popularly known as Mr. Sabingo, accompanied by Mr. Awari Lawal and Mr. Danian Megari.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Awari Lawal explained that the funds would be shared among the four beneficiary branches as follows: Kpembe Local Branch – GHC 6,100; Kafaba Local Branch – GHC 5,000; Makango Local Branch – GHC 5,000; and Kulaw/Lor Ekun Local Branch – GHC 5,000.
He further disclosed that, by the grace of Allah, the MP is expected to be present in Buipe to support activities marking the anniversary celebration.On behalf of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Abudu Hudu, Chairman of the Gonjaland Youth Association, Kpembe Local Branch, expressed deep appreciation to the MP for her exemplary leadership and continuous support.
He also offered prayers for her protection and success in her service to the constituency.
This year’s Congress of the Gonjaland Youth Association coincides with its 50th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled to take place in Buipe in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region from Thursday, April 2 to Sunday, April 5, 2026.
The celebration will be held under the theme: “Five Decades of Progress: Empowering the Gonjaland Youth for the Future.”
Participants from the East Gonja Municipality are expected to depart tomorrow to take part in the four-day event.
