8,000 Birds Handed Over, Youth Poultry Push To Fight Joblessness In Cape Coast- Cape Coast MCE.

A bold move to tackle youth unemployment, the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly has handed over 8,000 broiler birds to 200 beneficiaries in the Cape Coast North Constituency as part of governments nkoko nkitinkiti initiative program.
This poultry empowerment initiative, supervised by the Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Justice George Arthur, and Hon. Dr. Kwamina Mintah Nyakur Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North aims to ignite self-employment and economic independence among the youth.
Hand over the birds to the Beneficiaries,
Hon. Justice George Arthur the said metro assembly is committed to empowering our citizens, especially the youth, through the poultry industry, this will significantly reduce unemployment in our dear city.
MCE emphasized the assembly’s dedication to practical solutions for joblessness.
Each of the 200 beneficiaries selected from vibrant youth groups across Cape Coast North received 40 birds, along with starter feeds, training on modern poultry farming, and access to markets.
Mr. Arthur urge the youth to seize these opportunities.
The Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North, Hon. Dr. Kwamina Mintah Nyakwah, has assured beneficiaries of full support in case of a bird flu outbreak.
According to him, his office, in collaboration with the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly and experts from the Department of Agriculture at UCC, will provide assistance.
“Already, plans are underway to ensure beneficiaries are supported should any bird flu outbreak occur.
I’m urging all of you to report any instances to the authorities to protect your investment,” the MP said.
The Beneficiaries after receiving the birds in an interview with press, assured the government to use the birds of its purpose.
