Landlords Association Cry For Government Intervention As Individuals Intimidating Them With Forged Documents.

Residents and Landlords Association of Millennium City, in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, have expressed concern over the conduct of some individuals Harrasing and intimidating them over piece of lands with forged documents.
According to the community, the individuals who presents themselves as an estate developers, has been traversing the area with purportedly forged land documents in an apparent bid to seize property from legitimate landowners.
One affected Landlord Naa Odamitey, who says she acquired her plot from the late Gomoa Nyanyano Chief, Nana Wiabo, more than two decades ago, alleges that the individuals are now laying claim to her land on the strength of those questionable documents.
Naa Odamitey and the Association are appealing to the government and the Ghana Police Service to intervene and restrain the them to bring sanity to the area.
Meanwhile, Richard Kofi Mireku another victim of the Landlord Association, recounted to journalists the circumstances surrounding the land purchase and the ordeal he and his mother have endured at the hands of the individuals
The convener of Eagle Eye Sight Spirit, Mr. Patrick Ndego, has also called for a full-scale investigation and the possible arrest of the individuals.
Mr. Ndego noted that document forgery constitutes a serious offence under Ghanaian law and insisted that the Assemblyman must be held accountable if found culpable.
