Ghana Army Launches “Exercise Starlight Stretch III” In Nkwanta South In The Oti Region.

The Ghana Army’s Southern Command has launched a major military exercise in Nkwanta in the Oti Region.

The exercise is aimed at strengthening internal security and counter-insurgency operations.

The General Officer Commanding Southern Command, Colonel Lawrence Seddoh Agbedoawu, said the exercise will test for three weeks formation-level planning and improve collaboration between combat and support units.

The main purpose of this exercise is to validate formation level planning and oversight of internal security and counter-insurgency operations, while enhancing interoperability among combat support and service support units, as well as partnering other security and civil institutions in the area

He appealed to residents of Nkwanta South to cooperate with the military.

He charged his officers and men to use the training to sharpen their skills and leadership.

He also urged the good people of Nkwanta to cooperate with us for a successful exercise.
