Salomey Awiti Baffoe Granted GH¢100,000 Bail As Family Welcomes Court Decision.

Salomey Awiti Baffoe has been granted bail by the Adenta Circuit Court in the sum of GH¢100,000, with two sureties, both of whom must be civil servants earning not less than GH¢3,000 per month.

Salomey is before the court over allegations that she was an accomplice to controversial Ghanaian TikToker, Ghana Jollof.

Speaking in an interview with Angel Breaking News host Ali Baba, Salomey’s brother expressed relief and happiness following the court’s decision to grant her bail.

The brother said the family was particularly concerned about the manner in which Salomey was arrested, describing the experience as difficult and distressing for the family.

He explained that after the court ordered Salomey to remain in custody for two weeks to allow investigations to continue, the family, through their lawyers, made efforts to secure her bail.

According to him, their earlier attempt was unsuccessful because the judge was unavailable when the matter was due for hearing.

He said the family therefore returned to court today when Salomey appeared before the judge to seek bail, and they were pleased when the court granted their request.

Salomey Awiti Baffoe was represented in court by the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, who described the decision to grant bail as a welcome development.

Salomey was arrested on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at her residence in Hansua, near Techiman in the Bono East Region.

Reports indicate that three persons who identified themselves as National Security operatives went to her residence at about 11:30 p.m. and allegedly took her away.

Her family reportedly struggled to establish her whereabouts following the incident.

Salomey, a 40-year-old mother of three from Hansua in the Techiman Municipality, will now continue to face the legal process while on bail as investigations into the allegations continue.
