Solomon Jabari Introduces Interest free loan Scheme To Empower NDC Grassroots In Atwima Kwanwoma.

The aspiring Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Solomon Reuben Jabari, has introduced an interest-free loan scheme aimed at empowering party members at the branch level.
The initiative, according to Mr. Jabari, is intended to address what he described as the “I’ve Gotten Nothing Syndrome,” where political leaders allegedly lose touch with grassroots supporters after attaining higher positions within the party or government.
Under the scheme, about 3,000 people are expected to benefit from interest-free loans ranging from GH¢10,000 to GH¢30,000, depending on the nature and scale of the business for which the funds are being sought.
Speaking about the vision behind the initiative, Solomon Reuben Jabari said it was important to empower the grassroots with the resources they needed to establish and expand businesses rather than only relying on them for political mobilisation.
He said the “I’ve Gotten Nothing Syndrome” must come to an end, stressing that party members at the grassroots level deserved practical support that could improve their livelihoods.
Mr. Jabari urged beneficiaries to use the loans for the specific businesses and ventures for which they applied, explaining that responsible use and repayment of the funds would encourage the initiative to be expanded to benefit more people.
He further noted that his commitment to empowering the youth and party members did not begin with his decision to contest the Constituency Chairmanship position.
According to him, he had previously supported hundreds of young people with work-and-pay tricycles and Pragya vehicles, while also assisting students with their education and helping others secure employment opportunities.
Some beneficiaries of the loan scheme expressed their gratitude to Mr. Jabari, describing the initiative as unprecedented in the constituency.
They pledged to use the funds for the purposes for which they applied and repay them as agreed, saying they hoped their responsible use of the facility would encourage the expansion of the scheme to reach more people.
The initiative forms part of Solomon Jabari’s broader vision of strengthening the economic wellbeing of NDC members and ensuring that the party’s grassroots structures receive tangible support beyond political activities.
End.
