Fake News Rock Atwima Mponua Alleged Self Aclaimed MCE Nominee Fires Gun In Atwima Mponua – NDC Grassroots And Executive Reveals

The Grassroots members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Mponua constituency of the Ashanti region have revealed that a flyer circulating on social media announcing Ibrahim Ishak’s nomination as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) is fake.

According to the grassroots, individuals claiming to be supporters of the supposed nominee went overboard, celebrating in the streets and firing guns in all four corners of the constituency.

Speaking at a press briefing, Fatawu Fiasa, leader of the group and a government appointee, disclosed that the government should appoint a competent person like Sakina Oforiwaa to lead the Atwima Mponua constituency.

Speaking to media, some of the executives have also called on the president to appoint Sakina Oforiwaa as the MCE for Atwima Mponua, citing her competence and leadership abilities.

They believe she would be the best fit to drive development and progress in the constituency.

The group’s call for Sakina Oforiwaa’s appointment is based on her perceived qualifications and potential to effectively lead the constituency.

Meanwhile, the fake news surrounding Ibrahim Ishak’s supposed nomination has sparked confusion and concern among residents.
